Gentleman, soldier, spy: The Napoleonic era maps of Robert Clifford

Twenty-three maps from McMaster University Library’s Clifford Maps collection, which are believed to have been smuggled out of France in 1803 and used by the British to defeat Napoleon, are now on display at the McMaster Museum of Art.
