Students celebrate winter with Frost Week activities

The New Year has brought frigid temperatures, snow and a McMaster winter favourite back to campus: Frost Week 2009 has begun! Organized by a number of campus groups, Frost Week is the cold weather alter-ego of September's Welcome Week. Combining winter fun with a showcasing of student clubs and organizations, Frost Week 2009 promises something for everyone.

McMaster alumnus named to Order of Canada

McMaster alumnus Kenneth Kernaghan has been named a member of the Order of Canada. The Order of Canada, established in 1967 to recognize outstanding achievement and service in various fields of human endeavour, is Canada's highest civilian honour for lifetime achievement.

Commerce students in philanthropy course grant $20,000 to local charities

What would you do if someone gave you $20,000 and told you to give it away to someone else? Who would you give it to? How would you decide? These are questions that a group of undergraduate students have been asking themselves in an innovative new course at the DeGroote School of Business. Yesterday, the students came to an answer when they awarded how much money to who.
