An important finding has been made by McMaster researchers about Fragile X Syndrome (FXS), a sex-linked genetic disorder that affects approximately one in 4,000 males and one in 6,000 females.

Fiber optic sign puts spotlight on campus events

Students and event organizers at McMaster will have a new, high-profile way to promote activities across campus starting this month. An innovative electronic billboard, based on optical fiber technology developed in the Faculty of Engineering, has been installed above the main-floor elevators in the McMaster University Student Centre.

MacVIP adds 1,500 employees to pay roster

On Friday, Aug. 31, all remaining employees classified as temporary, casual or transitional were paid through the new human resources and payroll system, MacVIP. With this final conversion of temporary employees, MacVIP is being used to pay more than 5,000 employees.

Wes Davies spends his summer days welcoming visitors to campus and clearing up any confusion they might have about getting around. He also works as a flag person, directing traffic on the construction site of the new Ronald V. Joyce Stadium to keep pedestrians safe and traffic moving smoothly.
