On Friday, Aug. 31, all remaining employees classified as temporary, casual or transitional were paid through the new human resources and payroll system, MacVIP. With this final conversion of temporary employees, MacVIP is being used to pay more than 5,000 employees.

“It is very gratifying to see the complete conversion of this employee group,” says Karen Belaire, vice-president, administration. “The category we used to refer to as 'Roll 3' is incredibly diverse and complex. The success of this conversion is the result of wide collaboration between those who work in department administration, the MacVIP project team, payroll services and human resources services.”

The final conversion will consist of full-time faculty and staff. Currently, the planned date for implementation is late fall. More information will be provided as it become available.
