Temporary McMaster staff paid using MacVIP

Friday, Aug. 3 is the first pay date for 700 temporary employees in University Advancement, Student Affairs, Administration, Faculty of Humanities, University Libraries (except Health Sciences) and Health Sciences Human Resources using MacVIP, the new human resources and payroll system. With this conversion, MacVIP is being used to pay more than 3,500 employees.

McMaster Mini Baja Team gets dirty at world competition

It's billed as the biggest collegiate baja competition of the year, and after a 20-year absence, a re-established McMaster Mini Baja Team was back to compete. McMaster's team joined top engineering and engineering technology students from 140 colleges and universities from around the world at the 2007 Baja SAE held at the Rochester Institute of Technology from June 7 to 10.

McMaster asked to reduce electricity usage today

With the current wave of heat and humidity straining Ontario's electricity system, the Independent Electricity System Operator is asking customers to reduce their use of electricity as hot weather puts a strain on Ontario's electricity system. McMaster urges everyone in the University community to do what they can to reduce usage of electricity both at work and at home.
