The MSc Global Health student, Atziri Ramirez, was treating a patient at the General Hospital Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez when the 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck southern Mexico in September killing more than 200 people.

McMaster University’s Faculty of Engineering opens new student centre dedicated to hands-on learning

The Hatch Centre, a hub for 5,000 undergrad engineering students, will foster hands-on learning and support work in the classroom. The Centre will also serve as a ‘living lab’ to study integrated energy systems for urban use.
