The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer is celebrating its 11th year as a two-day annual cycling event to raise money in the fight against cancer. Since 2008, the event has raised over $213 million supporting the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and it is currently Canada’s largest cycling fundraiser.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is one of the top five cancer research centres in the world.

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is an annual event involving cyclists who ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls (or Niagara Falls to Toronto) to raise money to fight cancer. For the fourth year, McMaster is playing a key role in supporting this important community fundraising event. Campus will serve as the halfway point for riders taking part in the two-day event from June 8 to 9.

Riders participating in the event will begin to arrive on campus around 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8 from the West, ending at 10 acre field in the North end.

On Sunday morning between 6 a.m. – 8 a.m. riders will depart campus exiting through Westaway Road near the GO terminal. There will be a lane closure from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on southbound Cootes Drive between Westaway Rd and Main St. West.
