Welcome Day to become New Marauder Orientation

McMaster’s Welcome Day, designed to welcome incoming students to campus and introduce them to university life, will become New Marauder Orientation.

What’s the same:
· Sessions on academics, finances, support services, living on/off campus
· Tours of residence, libraries, Museum of Art, DBAC, general campus
· Involvement of all Student Affairs offices, Faculties, MSU
· Information fairs
· Pop-the-bubble tours
· Involvement of Hamilton community partners
· Alumni prize cab
· BBQ lunch (paid for by attendees)
· Free parking
· Lots of fun

New this year:
· Selfie stations
· Tours happening all day, rather than just set times
· Campus Store tours
· Shorter information sessions and presentations
· Information presented in advance online (videos or documents)
· Preview of Welcome Week, FLOW, Common Reading Program, and other upcoming orientation events
· Information areas for both students and parents
· Online Orientation Fair to be held the week after NMO
