Vaccination requirement in residence: Expanding options for international students

McMaster is focused on safely expanding options for international students preparing to join the residence community.

Following McMaster’s announcement that students in residence will require COVID-19 vaccinations this fall, the university will accept both Health Canada-approved and World Health Organization-approved vaccines for international students to meet this requirement.

If international students living in residence are not able to be vaccinated before coming to Canada, we are committed to working with these students to assist with vaccine access. Vaccination will be offered at no cost to international students through UHIP insurance.
