Utilities Services switching buildings from heating to cooling

It’s that time of year again – seasons are changing and temperatures are getting warmer.

Utilities Services is responsible for switching building temperature systems heating to cooling in preparation for the spring and summer seasons.  There are approximately 180 building systems on campus that will need to be switched over, and this is a long process to complete.

Utilities Services monitors the long range forecast and tries to prolong the switch over to cooling for as long as possible.

Utilities Services is currently preparing systems for cooling, and the final switch over will occur when temperatures permit.  If you have any concerns about your building change over timing, please email the Utilities Notice Group.
