Try Smart Commute’s ride-matching tool

The Smart Commute ride-matching tool, Carpool Zone, has been refreshed, and Smart Commute is pleased to introduce a brand new tool to help you plan your trip to work, find a carpool partner and much more! This new tool is dynamic, user friendly and is now accessible by your computer, smartphone, or tablet!

What you need to know:

Some of you may have already received an email asking you to change your password. This means that you have automatically been transferred onto the new system. If you did not receive an email and you would like to check out the new tool, please sign up at explore.smartcommute.ca!

The new online tool allows you to join specific networks to enhance your experience. Once signed up, join the Smart Commute Hamilton Network and the McMaster Networks to maximize your matching potential. Just click on the links below to do this!

With this new tool you can:

· MATCH YOUR TRIPS WITH OTHERS: Similar to Carpool Zone, you can use your origin and destination for a regular or one-time trip to match with others who have a similar travel plan and save on commute costs and environmental impacts.

· EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS FROM A-B: The tool will provide you with a range of travel options for your trip and help you make an informed decision.

· TRACK YOUR IMPACT: You can track your trip choices to see the impact on your costs and local environment, receive rewards and compete with your colleagues. Use this tool to track your trip during Smart Commute Week (September 22 – 28, 2014) for a chance at some great prizes!

If you receive an error message stating your email address is already in the system, your account was transferred from Carpool Zone. Just select “Log in” and then “Forgot your password? No problem!” After resetting your password you can click the links above to quickly and easily join your workplace and local Smart Commute network!

You may join and leave networks or deactivate your account using the “Edit Profile” area within your account.
