Tiger-Cats to play pre-season game at Ron Joyce Stadium

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will play a pre-season exhibition game at McMaster’s Ron Joyce Stadium this spring.

The one-time rental of the stadium – for a game to be played Sat.June 14 – does not require any expansion to the 6,000 seat facility.

The Ticats will also hold their training camp on campus again this year.

“The team let us know it needed to confirm a location now for its June exhibition game, and with training camp being held on campus, it’s great that we can accommodate their needs for this one game,” said Jeff Giles, director of McMaster’s Athletics and Recreation department.

The University will implement a full traffic management and community plan for the day.

“McMaster is accustomed to hosting events of this size and scope on campus,” Giles says, citing recent Marauder home football games including the Yates Cup.
