Thode library closed for August, reopening in September

H.G. Thode Library of Science and Engineering will be temporarily closed for August, but will reopen in time for the start of the 2022 fall term.

The library will be closed as of Monday, Aug. 1, welcoming students back on the first day of the fall term on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

“Thode has few users accessing the physical library space during the summer months, so the temporary closure will give staff a chance to clean the space and organize the stacks to prepare for September, all while having a minimal impact on the McMaster community,” said Anne Pottier, associate university librarian of facilities at the University library.

Library staff is ensuring students, staff and faculty have access to Thode materials. As always, online electronic resources will be available. Those looking to checkout print resources can use the request feature on the library’s catalogue and select Mills or Health Sciences library for pickup.

Mills and Health Sciences libraries will remain open through August to serve the community. Innis library is currently under construction, with materials available online and at Mills.

To find the hours for Mills library, visit the hours webpage. Information for the Health Sciences Library can be found on its hours webpage.
