Tentative agreement reached with sessional faculty

The University and CUPE 3906, Unit 2 have reached a tentative collective agreement. The union represents approximately 380 sessional faculty and sessional music faculty at McMaster.

Union members ratified the tentative agreement last week and the University will begin its ratification process shortly.

“Since we began meeting last spring, both the University and union have worked together to reach an agreement meeting the needs of McMaster, while recognizing the important role of sessional faculty members,” says Charlotte Yates, dean of Social Sciences and chair of the University bargaining committee.

The tentative agreement covers a term of four years and four months.
