Sustainable lunch with Green Party Leader, Mike Schreiner: April 21

The best interactions invariably occur over food.

Join McMaster University faculty, staff, students, and community neighbours for a lunchtime conversation about food sustainability and food justice in the local Hamilton area.

Soup and soda bread will be provided by Chef Ken Lefebour of Nellie James, using local ingredients.

This is a BYOBowl event – Please help us in reducing waste, and plan to bring your own eating utensils.

Speakers include:

  • Mike Schreiner, leader of the Green Party of Ontario
  • Sue Carr, Café 541
  • Alvaro Venturelli, Plan B Organic Farm
  • Ken Lefebour, Nellie James

Each speaker will briefly address issues of food justice and sustainability, before the dialogue is shifted to the tables. Attendees are invited to pick up on food themes, and to share and learn from each other in informal chat. Good food, good friends, good talk. Join us.
