SUMMA 2013 opens on Thursday

Beginning this Thursday, the McMaster Museum of Art will proudly present SUMMA 2013 – the annual exhibition showcasing the art and accomplishments of students graduating from the Studio Art program.

This year’s class of 19 students will present work exploring a variety of themes in a wide range of media, including: painting, sculpture, printmaking and digital. Visitors on Thursday and Friday can also cast a ballot for the coveted “People’s Choice Award.” The exhibition, which runs until Saturday, April 27, is generously supported by Upper James Toyota.

At McMaster, the School of the Arts offers an intimate, high-quality art program and has just initiated a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Students regularly contribute to the vibrancy of Hamilton’s art community through course work, placements, exhibitions, volunteering and work experiences.

Reception and Awards: Saturday, April 13, 2 to 4 p.m.
Artist Talks: Wednesday, April 17, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
