Students can enhance math skills with Numeracy Zone

McMaster students who need extra help with math can take advantage of a new online tool, Numeracy Zone.

Part of the popular Academic Zone educational enterprise, Numeracy Zone features modules that help students develop and refine their mathematics skills in four specific areas: transitional math, statistics, algebra and equations of lines. Topics include percentages, fractions, decimals, ratios, rates, graphs, algebraic equations, standard deviation, confidence intervals and probability.

Through a series of online videos, practice problems, examples and easy-to-understand lessons, Numeracy Zone helps students develop skills needed for success in math-related courses.

To access Numeracy Zone, students must complete an online request form. Upon completion, an access code will be sent to you within two business days.

This resource is available for next two years thanks to the Student Life Enhancement Fund (SLEF).
