Stick to paths when travelling on campus

The University is responsible for maintaining the campus to ensure it is sage for everyone to travel. It’s equally important for you to do your part.

Stick to the path – McMaster Facility Services works diligently to ensure that parking lots, paths and sidewalks are clear so that you have safe path of travel. Taking shortcuts can greatly increase your risk of injury.

Stay focused – pay attention to where you are walking. Avoid walking and texting.

Follow safety signs – signage is an effective way to warn people of hazards and risks, for example, an unmaintained pathway. Do not ignore safety signs.

Don’t rush – give yourself extra time to get to where you are going. Whether it’s a meeting across campus or travelling from your car to your work location, don’t put yourself in a position where you have to rush.
