SPICES call for proposals

Do you have a great idea to help build the graduate and postdoctoral communities at McMaster? Are you searching for a way to make it happen?

Perhaps a little spice will help bring your idea to life!

SPICES is a McMaster School of Graduate Studies program that provides funding (up to $5,000) to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who are leading projects and new activities that will engage, creatively challenge and intellectually enhance their community.

Wondering what a SPICES project may look like? Check out last year’s projects.

The deadline to submit a SPICES application is 12 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24.

Still wondering if your idea is eligible for funding? Join us for the SPICES Hot Pot! Learn what ingredients make a great SPICES application. Organizers are holding a drop-in working session on Friday, Feb. 14 from 1–3 p.m. in the Thesis Defence Room, School of Graduate Studies, Gilmour Hall (Room 212).

Interested grad students and postdocs can bring their ideas and get help from previous project leaders and the graduate student life team.

Questions can be sent to spices@mcmaster.ca
