Siren testing: Thursday, January 14 at 10:20 a.m.
The siren alert and the Alertus Notification system will be tested on Thursday, January 14, at approximately 10:20 a.m.
Those who have the McMaster Safety App installed on their phones will receive alerts around 10:20 a.m. The screens around campus and computers with the Alertus notification app will display the same alert.
Shortly thereafter, sirens outdoors and in MUSC, MDCL, DBAC and IWC will play a recorded “This is a test” message, followed by a full-volume siren wail.
