Earlier this week residents of Ainslie Wood reported a new incident of break and enter. The community is reminded to take steps to secure their dwellings – remember to lock all doors and windows and secure your property. The University provides a number of support services including SWHAT – an escorted walk home service where you can arrange to have a student walk you home.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity in the area to Hamilton Police at 905-546-4861, McMaster Security Dispatch at 905-525-9140 ext.24281 or 911 for a crime in progress.

August-September 2018

Hamilton Police are reminding people to keep their doors locked and windows secured as they investigate two break and enters where women woke up to find an unknown male in their room. Both incidents occurred in the Westdale area. The first occurred on August 3rd when someone entered the home through a second story window and sexually assaulted the victim.  The second incident was on August 28th when a man entered the home through an unlocked front door. On September 4th there was another attempted entry and two other reports of entry or attempted entry on Sept. 6.
