Research for a Better Life contest

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) is launching an exciting new research communications challenge aimed at students: Research for a Better Life: The Storytellers.

Post-secondary students from across Canada will be asked to submit a brief story pitch about SSHRC-funded research (their own or a professor’s), and detail how it is making an impact in our everyday lives.

Up to 25 first-round winners will receive a cash prize and an invitation to participate in a specialized research communications workshop at the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences, in Victoria, BC in June. Five final winners will have the chance to deliver a featured presentation at the World Social Science Forum in Montreal in October.
