Update: Remote sites experiencing slow connectivity

March 13, 4 p.m.: A network and IP phone outage will be scheduled for March 16, from 9 a.m. to noon, to troubleshoot issues affecting McMaster’s satellite campuses.

March 13, 9:30 a.m.: McMaster’s remote sites continue to experience intermittent service interruptions. University Technology Services is working to resolve these issues and will continue to provide updates. Questions can be directed to UTS at ext. 24357 or uts@mcmaster.ca.

March 11, 1 p.m.: McMaster’s remote sites continue to experience intermittent service interruptions to the sending of email to Microsoft-hosted accounts (including Hotmail, Live and Outlook.com) and Sympatico and Bell.net accounts. The sites also continue to experience service interruptions to network and phone connectivity. The following sites are affected:

IP phones and network: 1685 Main Street, Ron Joyce Centre, St. Paul’s Anglican Church (Mosaic team), McMaster Innovation Park.

Network only: St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Ward Avenue parking lot, 105 Main Street West, the Downtown Centre and the Clinical Trials Group – Henderson.

University Technology Services is working to resolve these issues and will continue to provide updates. Questions can be directed to UTS at ext. 24357 or uts@mcmaster.ca

Update, March 10, 5 p.m.: There will be a planned network and IP phone outage March 11, from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. in order to replace equipment that is causing intermittent network and telephone outages to McMaster’s remote sites.

The affected sites are:

IP phone and network: Ron Joyce Centre, St. Paul’s Anglican Church (Mosaic team), McMaster Innovation Park

Network only: Downtown Centre

March 10: Some of McMaster’s remote sites are experiencing slow connectivity and intermittent network outages.

Issues with phone and internet services are being experienced at the Ron Joyce Centre, McMaster Innovation Park and the Mosaic team’s space at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Westdale.

Issues with internet only are being experienced at the Downtown Centre.

University Technology Services is working to resolve the issue and will provide updates throughout the day.
