Student Success Centre offering academic ‘Boot Camp’


Do you need a refresher when it comes to your academic skills?

Come to the Student Success Centre’s Boot Camp on Thursday, Oct. 31. The event will take place in CIBC Hall (located on the third floor of MUSC) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During this informative one-day session, attendees will learn different strategies for academic success, with a focus on the most important skills needed in university:

  • Time management and avoiding procrastination
  • Effective reading strategies
  • How to study for exams
  • Writing university-level essays

Undergraduate students from all levels and faculties are welcome to attend. The Boot Camp is limited to 30 participants, so be sure to register early on OSCARplus. The event is free, but registrants must submit $20 for a participation bond at the time of registration. This amount will be refunded after the event to all participants.

The next Boot Camp seminar will take place Saturday, Jan. 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
