Register for Take Our Kids to Work Day

McMaster University is pleased to participate in the national Take Our Kids to Work Day program. On Wednesday, November 6, 2013 we will host approximately 120 grade nine students whose parent or guardian works at McMaster.

Online registration is now open and enrolment will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration closes at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2013 and confirmation of enrolment will be sent via email after the registration deadline. Capacity is limited to 120 grade nine students in the scheduled program, and a waiting list will be maintained. Online registration, permission and safety evaluations must be completed and submitted for each grade nine student planning to participate in McMaster’s Take Our Kids to Work Day program.

Whether you have a student interested in learning about multimedia, the planets, the body, the brain, engineering, drama, or sports, there is something for everyone! The program provides an exciting day of activities for participants. The day will begin with a campus tour and team-building activities followed by a session with Career Services. Next, students will have the choice of one of eight breakout sessions in a current research area, which will provide a glimpse into the many fascinating careers available at University. In the afternoon, students will job shadow their parent or guardian to learn more about their specific area of responsibility.
