PACBIC recruiting new members
The President’s Advisory Committee on Building an Inclusive Community (PACBIC) is currently recruiting new members!
Are you passionate about equity and inclusion issues at McMaster? Do you belong to an equity-seeking group or are you an ally who is eager to work with PACBIC to inform policy and engage senior University administration in dialogue around issues of equity and inclusion? If so, consider applying to become a PACBIC member!
PACBIC meetings take place monthly from October until May and members are invited to get hands-on experience promoting equity and inclusion on campus through the work of PACBIC’s working groups:
– Access & Accommodation
– Employment Equity
– First Nations, Métis & Inuit Priorities
– Interfaith Issues
– Mental Health Equity & Inclusion
– Priorities & Planning
– Race Racialization and Racism
– Violence Against Women/Gender Based Violence
To apply, please visit our online nominations form by clicking here. Applications will be accepted until Friday, July 15th, 2016.
Please note, too, that all PACBIC meetings are open. The formal membership (for which we’re seeking nominations here) is the committee’s base, but all members of the campus community are very welcome to attend. If you are interested in being added to the PACBIC mailing list but you do not wish to seek formal membership, please email pacbic@mcmaster.ca.
