March 28: Don’t miss the Learning Portfolio Showcase
Join us for The Learning Portfolio Showcase, a day of events to inform and engage the McMaster community around the Learning Portfolio.
Faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend one or both of the following sessions.
Session 1: The Learning Portfolio: Experiences and best practices
At this session, Provost and Vice-President (Academic) David Wilkinson invites the McMaster community to explore the ways in which the Learning Portfolio can support and enhance teaching and learning at McMaster.
Hosted by Arshad Ahmad, Associate Vice-President, Teaching and Learning, this event will include remarks from McMaster President Patrick Deane and will feature:
- Guest speaker, Randy Bass, Assistant Provost, Teaching and Learning Initiatives, Georgetown University
- A panel discussion featuring McMaster instructors who have incorporated the Learning Portfolio into their courses.
Session 2: Student Showcase
Students are invited to join Dean of Students Sean Van Koughnett, to learn more about the Learning Portfolio and network with McMaster alumni and potential employers.
The Learning Portfolio Showcase is a great opportunity to:
- Find out how the Learning Portfolio can help you tell your story and become a more competitive job applicant
- Get feedback on your portfolio and network with McMaster alumni and local employers
- See examples of portfolios created by McMaster students and get inspired!
