Community Engagement Visit

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) will be visiting McMaster on the afternoon of Thursday, May 1 to provide researchers, students and other stakeholders an opportunity to learn more about some recent program and policy developments. These visits also serve as a platform for the community to ask questions and seek more information from some of NSERC’s grants and scholarships experts. NSERC personnel will make a presentation and take questions from participants throughout the session.

Some of the topics that will be discussed include:

· Federal Budget 2014

· Update on the Allocation of Discovery Grants Budget Among Evaluation Groups

· Eligibility and Appeals Processes

· Common CV & New Research Portal

· Women in Science and Engineering

· Update on Scholarships and Fellowships programs, including the Harmonization of the Canada Graduate Scholarships
