Next steps in the review of academic programming structure

The Provost is providing an update on progress made as the University reviews the structure of academic programming.

Last year, he asked a committee under the guidance of Gary Warner to review the three Arts and Science Faculties at McMaster to determine if the structure and processes in place best served students.

The Committee released its report earlier this year and there were a number of presentations and town halls. Now, Provost Wilkinson is identifying the next steps in the process including identifying and eliminating any impediments to student success and a new group to consider programming within the Arts and Science Faculties.

The committee considered a possible amalgamation of the three Faculties but is recommending against it and a merger is not part of the next steps.
