Network maintenance Sunday May 28

University Technology Services (UTS) has scheduled a network maintenance window for Sunday, May 28, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. to increase McMaster’s network reliability and performance.

Some portions of the network will be disrupted:

7 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. All wireless (Mac-WiFi, eduroam, Resnet-WiFi and Mohawk-WiFi) will be unavailable for up to 1.5 hours.
8 a.m. – 12 p.m. John Hodgins Engineering building network (wired, wireless and phone) will experience an outage of up to 4 hours to perform network upgrades.
8 a.m. – 3 p.m. John Hodgins Engineering building 2nd and 3rd floors (not including Hatch or the Annex) will experience an extended network outage while network upgrades are performed.

This maintenance is part of planned monthly UTS maintenance windows necessary to perform upgrades to McMaster’s network. You can sign up for live network maintenance updates by visiting the McMaster IT Systems Dashboard. Please Contact UTS with any questions or concerns.
