National Day of Mourning ceremony

A reminder that Sunday, April 28 is the National Day of Mourning for workers killed or injured on the job. As this date falls on a Sunday this year, the ceremony will be held at McMaster on Friday, April 26 at 12:30 p.m. in MUSC 308/309.

If you are unable to attend the ceremony, please observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m. (as per Article 10.16 of the CAW Collective Agreement) to remember those killed and injured on the job, and also make a renewed commitment to fight for the living and prevent workplace injuries.

For nearly a decade, CAW Local 555 (formerly MUSA) has organized a National Day of Mourning ceremony on campus so McMaster employees have the opportunity to participate in this day of remembrance.
