MSF president to speak at ‘New Frontiers in Health Policy Research’ conference

Dr. Joanne Liu, international president of  Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), will be the keynote speaker on Monday April 25, 2016 at the New Frontiers in Health Policy Research Conference, at McMaster’s CIBC Hall.

Liu, a pediatrician who was born in Quebec City and is a graduate of McGill University School of Medicine, was appointed MSF’s international president in 2013. Time Magazine last year included her on its list of the world’s 100 most influential people for her leadership in response to the Ebola crisis.

Free registration is now underway for the conference, an annual multidisciplinary event sponsored by McMaster’s Centre for Health Economics and Policy Analysis (CHEPA) in conjunction with the Health Policy PhD Program.

In addition to prominent keynote and panel speakers, the conference features an array of selected graduate students from area universities presenting their own innovative health policy research for discussion and critique in a supportive environment.

All are welcome to attend and there is no fee to register, but your early confirmation will allow organizers to better accommodate all conference attendees. To register, go to https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/new-frontiers-in-health-policy-2016-tickets-20054602857?ref=elink
