Mosaic unavailable Nov 6-9 during upgrade
All Mosaic functions will be unavailable beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 6 until 8 a.m. on Monday, November 9.
The closure will allow for an upgrade of the software Mosaic uses. Most modifications will be invisible to end users, but there will be a few noticeable changes:
- The Mosaic log-in page will get a new look (see screen shot below) and will now include an option to enable accessibility features
- “Chartfield Mappings (Legacy)” will move from the Mosaic home page to the “My Work” tab
- The software upgrade will allow Mosaic to work better with iOS 9 (iPhone and iPad)
- The “My Favourite Links” box on the Mosaic landing page will be removed, user favourites will remain available in the upper left-hand menu (see screen shot below)
The software upgrade will support the launch of Facilities Services’ new maintenance management system in Mosaic. This system is currently set to begin a phase-in period for a small group of users at the end of November with a broader launch in the following weeks.
Students are reminded that both Avenue to Learn and Gmail for Students can be accessed directly.
