Mosaic extends webinar series


Following an enthusiastic response from the McMaster community, the Mosaic webinar series is being extended with several additional sessions to help users improve their Mosaic skills and enhance their understanding of the system.

A typical webinar will feature a 15-30 minute presentation followed by time for questions. The webinars will be delivered via McMaster’s WebEx system and users can listen using either their computer’s audio or via a dial-in option. You can access the webinars 10 minutes before the start time via the links associated with each title below.

Thursday, Mar. 30, 10 a.m. Travel and expense claim fundamentals

Whether you prepare travel and expense claims for yourself or for others, this session will help you enter claims more efficiently and provide tips for avoiding common problems. Presented by Sue Graci, Relationship Associate, Accounts Payable

Thursday, May. 25, 10 a.m. Travel and expense claims: Paying Diners using My Wallet

For those who travel frequently, the Diner’s Club purchasing card is a convenient way to both pay for and get reimbursed for expenses. This session will introduce this functionality and show you how to use it most effectively. Presented by Sue Graci, Relationship Associate, Accounts Payable

Thursday, June. 22, 10 a.m. Understanding VAT: Tax treatment on goods and services

Correctly processing the value added tax (GST/HST/OHST) on a P-Card or voucher transaction can earn valuable rebates for your account (as much as a 73.% rebate on HST). In other case McMaster has an obligation to self-assess taxes on foreign purchases.  This webinar will cover the ins and outs of entering VAT.
