McMaster recognized by the Canadian Event Industry Awards

For the third year in a row, the Canadian Event Industry Awards recognized McMaster University for holding one of the best events in the Canadian event industry for the 2017 year. The Canadian Event Industry Awards is one of the highest achievements a Canadian professional or organization can receive in the event industry; McMaster University was the only university to receive a nomination this year.

In recognition of the inaugural #Goals Week 2017, a week of events dedicated to the academic, personal, and professional success of students, the McMaster Student Success Centre were finalists for two awards in the categories of: Best Experiential Marketing Event and Best Event Produced By an In-House Team at a Venue or Corporation.

Previous recognitions at the Canadian Event Industry Awards include:

– Best Event Produced for a Corporation by an in House Team or Planner 2015, winner for Light Up the Night, a partnership with the Student Success Centre, Alumni Association and the McMaster Students’ Union. This recognition was a tie with West Jet’s Christmas Party.

– Best Event Produced for a Corporation by an in House Team or Planner 2016, nominated for Light Up the Night, a partnership with the Student Success Centre, Alumni Association and the McMaster Students’ Union.

– Outstanding Logistical Achievement 2016, nominated for MacQuest, a Welcome Week event presented by the Student Success Centre.
