McMaster, RBG sign memorandum of understanding
McMaster has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Royal Botanical Gardens in order to achieve excellence in areas of mutual interest.
The two institutions, which share a border on McMaster’s north side, have a long and positive history together.
McMaster representatives act as advisors on RBG committees and perform research in the Gardens, while RBG staff have served as lecturers and grad student supervisors since the 1950s.
Both institutions recognize the immense potential for enhanced collaboration in specific areas of research and innovation, especially involving water, biodiversity, health and wellbeing.
The MOU aims to raise awareness of the RBG and its activities at McMaster, increase understanding of McMaster by the RBG and explore new means of collaboration between the two institutions, among other things.
