McMaster Bike Rodeo – April 5

The Bike Rodeo is one part of a larger initiative – Mac Bike U – to make McMaster more bike accessible to the large collective of students who use bikes daily.

Bike down to McMaster on Friday, April 5th!
From 11am to 3pm in front of University Hall there will be the most spectacular bike rodeo Hamilton has ever seen. This celebration of cycling will feature arty, educational and fun activities and is the launch of the “Mac Bike U” movement, which seeks to make McMaster the bike-friendliest campus in Canada. Come and see how you can incorporate cycling into your life – be it twice a year or twice a day!

Bike Rodeo is meant to engage both the McMaster community and the broader city with pro-bike spirit and knowledge. While a small accomplishment in its own right, the Rodeo is the tricycle wheels needed to put Hamilton’s cycling zeitgeist on the right track.

At the event, there will be amazing booths, activities, and information available. Macycle will be there, so bikes can be brought in for any quick fixes. Bikes will be able to be “pimped”, at “Pimp Your Bike”, and there will be an opportunity to take a portrait with your ride in a similar style to Humans of New York! All portraits will be uploaded to Mac Bike U.
