McMaster and Operating Engineers reach tentative collective agreement

McMaster and International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 772 (IUOE) have reached a tentative five-year collective agreement.

IUOE, which represents all stationary engineers, helpers in the Power House and the campus utilities network, and the University reached a deal before the expiry of the current agreement (April 30, 2024).

The terms of the current agreement will remain in effect until ratification of the new agreement by both parties.

McMaster negotiates with all employee groups based on a set of core principles including bargaining in good faith and committing to long-term, collaborative relationships with union partners.
