MBA Games

More than 650 MBA students will descend on the greater Hamilton area this weekend for the MBA Games. The annual competition attracts MBA students from across Canada, including McMaster’s DeGroote School of Business – winners of last year’s challenge, and organizers of this year’s event.

Billed as the largest gathering of MBA students in the country, the Games begin Friday afternoon with a downtown food truck rally in front of the Sheraton Hotel from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. They’ll conclude Sunday evening with a gala dinner at LIUNA Station featuring a keynote speech from Mark Chamberlain, formerly of 3-L WESCAM and a founding partner of Trivaris Ltd.

Weekend events will revolve around three main categories – academics, athletics and spirit – and will take place in Hamilton and Burlington. Students from 22 institutions will compete in a wide variety of activities, including: finance, crisis management, marketing, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, a pitch competition and a scavenger hunt.

Good luck to all of the competitors!
