Marauders football returning to AM900 CHML

For the seventh consecutive season, Hamilton radio station AM900 CHML will be the exclusive radio voice for McMaster football.

“It’s very exciting to have such enthusiastic media partners, and we’re very proud of our ongoing relationship with CHML,” says Jeff Giles, the University’s director of Athletics & Recreation. “It’s a partnership that continues to grow, and having hometown radio as the voice of  McMaster football is a great support for our efforts to build our fanbase.”

The McMaster football program is among an elite group of Canadian university sports teams to have their games covered on commercial radio.

CHML brand director Jeff Storey says the station is thrilled to continue their partnership with McMaster as the voice of Marauders football. “The recent success of the Marauders program has been tremendous and it’s great to be a part of the family,” he explains. “CHML and McMaster both have deep roots in our community, and we look forward to supporting Mac for many years to come.”

Once again, play-by-play announcer Ted Michaels and colour commentator Miles Gorrell will be behind the microphones for McMaster football games, with Michaels also hosting a 60-minute preview show this Thursday. Fans in the greater Hamilton area can follow the action by tuning into AM900 on the radio dial, and live broadcasts will also be available on the Internet at www.900chml.com.

Coverage of the new season will begin with a twist. On Thursday, Thursday, Aug. 22, CHML will air a “Marauders Season Preview Special” on  from 7 to 8 p.m.
