Keeping the McMaster community safe

While Ontario moves through Step 3 of reopening, a reminder to everyone at McMaster that masks continue to be required inside university buildings and facilities.  Masks must be worn indoors regardless of vaccine status and outdoor settings when the two metre (six feet) of distance cannot be maintained.  If you are in an office on your own and don’t anticipate anyone else entering the space, you are able to remove your mask.

If there are any concerns about compliance employees are encouraged to speak to their supervisor.

Masking requirements are determined by the province and public health for Ontario workplaces.  These regulations are at times different from those outlined for social interactions.

The province has indicated that while it anticipates physical distancing will not be required at universities this fall, masking inside buildings will continue to be part of public health guidelines.
