Win $1,000 at Innovation Showcase poster competition

It’s that time of year again. Spring means new growth and that includes the growth of new ideas. There is no better place to share your ideas than McMaster’s annual Innovation Showcase Friday May 10, which includes a poster competition for students and researchers. The competition runs throughout the day, providing an opportunity to demonstrate how your research could change the world — with the added bonus of three $1000 prizes to be won.

If you have a great idea that you believe can lead to commercial success, or will have a significant social impact, or just think that it is ground-breaking research, enter a poster to the Showcase competition.

The poster competition is open to all faculty, researchers and students at McMaster University, Hamilton Health Sciences, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and Mohawk College.

Innovation Showcase 2013 will be held on Friday May 10 from 8:30 – 4 p.m. at CIBC Hall, McMaster University Student Centre.  The theme of this year’s Showcase is Innovation for Life: Living Well Longer and will focus on McMaster’s age-related research and technologies; however, the poster competition is not limited to this field of research.  The deadline for abstracts is Friday May 3, 2013.

Don’t miss out on this chance for your ideas and research to impress your peers, colleagues and future funding partners.
