McMaster is opening one of its parking lots to provide free parking to support university employees whose roles prohibit them from working at home. Lot I will be open as part of the university’s social distancing efforts and to accommodate commuters. This move is meant to encourage a reduction of public transit use, in recognition of the HSR moving to a reduced schedule. All transponder holders are expected to continue to park in their assigned lots as usual.
