Flu shot clinics available for all employees and students

This year getting a flu shot is more important than ever. Protecting yourself from the seasonal flu helps reduce risk of illness and protects those in the community who are high risk.

Students

Students can book an appointment to get a free flu shot from Student Wellness by calling 905-525-9140 ext. 27700.

Appointments will be available on November 5 and 12 at the Peter George Centre for Living and Learning on the ground floor near the Chopped Leaf and Second Cup locations.

Walk-ins will not be accepted. Please complete the Ontario Self-Screening tool prior to coming to campus and bring a screenshot of your completed screening to the appointment.

Please bring your health card/UHIP card, wear a mask, and a short-sleeved shirt. International student partners are allowed to register for the clinic(s).

Employees

Human Resource Services is now offering appointments to all active McMaster employees (working onsite or remotely) to help protect employees from influenza and to do our part in reducing the strain on the healthcare system.

The clinics will be held November 17 and 18 from 8:30am-4:30pm in MUSC, 3rd floor, CIBC Hall.

To attend the clinic, an appointment is required. Appointments are limited, so please book early.

All flu clinic health professionals are required to wear goggles, gloves, masks and gowns. Upon arrival, employees will be pre-screened by the health professional, including a temperature check with a forehead thermometer. Masks must be worn while on campus and during the appointment.

Please arrive at the specified time of your appointment so that cleaning, health and safety protocols can be adhered to.
