Fall Peace Institute, Oct. 24-26: Register Now


McMaster’s Perspectives on Peace initiative aims to foster creative dialogues around global issues with an emphasis on peace and conflict resolution.

From October 24-26, 2015 McMaster students and community members (ages 18 and over) are invited to be a part of this important dialogue at the Fall Peace Institute, a three-day experiential short-course that will explore the determinants of health, peace, social justice, and sustainability.

Participants can expect a variety of sessions that include: ‘Introduction to Peace and Conflict’, ‘What is Adaptive Co-Management?’ and ‘How to Achieve Conflict Transformation’. Outdoor activities include guided hikes, outdoor team building initiatives and climbing the alpine tower.

Upon successful completion all participants will receive a Certificate and Letter of Attendance, signed by the Director of the Centre for Peace Studies, indicating attendance and completion of the Peace Institute. The Peace Institute is meant to act as an initial step toward greater in peace, health, social justice, and sustainability at McMaster and beyond.
