Facility Services employees vote to determine bargaining unit representation

McMaster Facility Services employees will have opportunity to vote August 7 to determine which union represents them in collective bargaining.

The union Unifor has filed an application to represent employees currently represented by the Building Union of Canada (BUC). This employee group includes most of the McMaster staff involved in the maintenance and service of University buildings.

McMaster recognizes and respects the right of all employees to elect to be represented by a union of their choice and to make that choice freely. Employees are encouraged to vote.
