Day in Faculty Development

The Program for Faculty Development — having celebrated its 25th year anniversary in 2012 — encourages the McMaster community to attend their 6th annual Day in Faculty Development.

The event will take place Wednesday, May 1 from noon to approximately 6:00 p.m. The day will provide an opportunity for individuals to network and hear more about innovations in education.

This year’s event will include an interprofessional innovations fair; interactive short sessions (individuals will have an opportunity to attend one session on topics such as: being a mindful clinician, professionalism in the Faculty of Health Sciences and next generation presentation tools); and will end with the recognition of educators acquiring Pathways certificate levels.

Dr. Patricia Dobkin of McGill University will also be delivering a speech titled, “Promoting Wellness through Mindfulness in Clinical Practice.” The lecture will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in HSC (Room 1A1).
