Changes to Zoom and Microsoft consumer terms of service do not apply to McMaster accounts

Zoom and Microsoft recently updated their consumer Terms of Service to make several changes related to the use of artificial intelligence within their products.

Changes to the consumer version of Microsoft’s Services Agreement and Zoom’s Terms of Service do not apply to McMaster students, staff, and faculty who have access to institutional licenses using their MacID.

McMaster’s institutional licenses are governed by unique agreements made directly between the companies and the university and any changes to these agreements would be communicated to the university community by McMaster, when appropriate.
