Celebrity Concert Series: The Denis Chang Manouche Quartet

Montreal’s Gypsy Jazz Guitar sensation will be visiting McMaster to commence School of the Arts’ 2012-2013 Celebrity Concert Series. In almost no time, guitarist Denis Chang has become the preeminent proponent of gypsy in Québec. Among other prizes, he’s been honoured with the Entrée en Scène Award by Loto-Québec and the Résidence Award in Quebec City! When he’s not performing across the Americas and Europe, he’s welcoming students who travel across the globe to learn from the master. Under their influence  this young guitarist quickly developed his own style. Among his biggest  influences are Bach, Chopin, George Benson and Michael Jackson.  A sought after teacher, he is regularly invited to give masterc

His instructional DVDs are a success all over the world. In 2008, he had the honour of being invited to perform with the legendary Les Paul at the Iridium in New York.Don’t miss this concert, it will be one of a kind!
