Campus Store sales support Athletics and Recreation
On Wednesday, November 11th, Campus Store Director Donna Shapiro handed a cheque for over $36,000 to McMaster’s Athletics and Recreation department. This is part of a long standing partnership between the Campus Store and A&R. Every year, a portion of Marauder merchandise sales is handed back to support McMaster Athletics. The official ceremony took place during halftime of the Marauder’s basketball game in Burridge Gym. A&R Director Glen Grunwald and the McMaster athletes were on hand to accept the cheque on behalf of McMaster Athletics.
“We are so pleased to be able to give back to such an important part of the McMaster community, said Shapiro. “Part of the Campus Store mission is enhance and build connections between McMaster and the Community, enhancing school spirit and building relationships with partners on campus are two ways that the Campus Store contributes to strengthening this commitment.”
The Campus Store has similar programs set up across campus with other departments with a portion of each sale going to support the department. They will continue to provide an array of Marauder clothing and accessories year round in store, online and now as a pop up shop at most home games. Look for them at this season’s basketball and volleyball games in the David Braley Athletic Center. To celebrate another excellent year of Marauder sports, there will be a Marauder Appreciation Event at the Campus Store from November 16th to November 21st with special promotions on Marauder Fan Gear.
